CliBook is operated by Corevixa ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the CliBook desktop application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you sign in via a third-party authentication provider (Google or GitHub), we receive the following from your account:
- Email address
- Display name
- Profile picture URL
We do not receive or store your passwords from any authentication provider.
2.2 User-Generated Content
When you use the Service, you may store:
- CLI commands and snippets
- Folder and tag structures
- Variables and parameter templates
This content is stored both locally on your device and in our cloud infrastructure if you enable cloud sync.
2.3 Usage Data
We may collect non-personally identifiable information such as:
- Application version and operating system
- Feature usage patterns (e.g., which features are used most often)
- Crash reports and error logs
2.4 Payment Information
Payments for premium features are processed by our third-party payment provider, Polar. We do not directly collect or store your credit card numbers or banking details. Please refer to Polar's Privacy Policy for their data practices.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- To authenticate your identity and manage your account
- To synchronize your data across devices
- To process AI-powered features (command generation, explanation, optimization)

- To communicate with you about updates, security alerts, or support

4. AI Features and Data Processing
CliBook offers AI-powered features such as command generation, explanation, and optimization. When you use these features, the text you input may be sent to third-party AI service providers for processing. We do not use your AI interactions to train models. The AI providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Supabase, a cloud infrastructure provider. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS)
- Row-level security policies on our database
- Authentication token-based access control
- Encryption for sensitive data such as secret variables
While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with the following third-party services:
Google OAuth
Used for user authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
GitHub OAuth
Used for user authentication. Subject to GitHub's Privacy Statement.
Supabase
Used for data storage and authentication infrastructure. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
Polar
Used for payment processing and subscription management. Subject to Polar's Privacy Policy.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information and user-generated content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes, enforcing agreements).

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data

9. Cookies and Local Storage
CliBook is a desktop application and does not use browser cookies. However, the application stores data locally on your device using the operating system's standard application data directory. This includes your preferences, cached data, and locally stored commands.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws.
